In 1865, Thomas Eugene Scott came to Kansas while herding sheep across the Midwest. He built a house east of town on a hill that is now known as Scott's Hill. The town began in 1886, and Scott sold the town to Colonel Dean of Kansas City in 1891. In memory of its founder, citizens named the town Tescott after T.E. Scott. Located on Highway 18 in the heart
of Kansas, Tescott provides the quaintness and relaxation of small town
living just minutes from Salina. Local businesses and community organizations offer many conveniences of the city without the crowds. Senior Citizen transportation is available to other towns. Small class sizes and numerous extra curricular activities at the local P-12 public school provides for an exceptional educational opportunity. The after school and summer school programs offer a variety of opportunities for students to expand their skills. Summer softball, baseball, hunting, fishing, outdoor tennis and basketball court, and the Lions Pride Park provide for quality family entertainment and together time.
Our community invites you to get
back to the basics with small town living in Tescott.
It's a wonderful place to raise a family, and to call home. |
